    Please take care

I just wanted to put this up. After speaking with a friend today who is pretty stressed out with the christmas thing worrying about buying for this person and that and the financial side of it all. Her and her partner are fighting quite bad and it is all just the time of the year.

So folks please take care make time for yourselves if you don't have enough money to buy for that cousin don't .Make them a cake (mmm Chocolate cake) remember christmas is not only about giving a present it is about family & friends time. So please take care and have a great christmas with all your familys

Wise words. It seems the commercial world has taken over every occasion.

If you don't have enough money to buy for that cousin, then don't.

Do, however, ensure you buy presents for Mully.

I can't stress that enough. If your children need to miss out on medicine (or warmth) so you can buy Mully a present, then that's what has to happen. You children want it that way. despite their feeble coughs suggesting otherwise

At this time of year, it's natural to worry that Mully isn't getting enough presents. This feeling is ordinary, and is certainly something you should be worried about. If you are in any doubt at all that Mully doesn't have enough, remove all doubt by buying Mully at least one extra present.

Feel free to PM Mully for a list of presents he desires. Please include your proposed budget so Mully can approve or deny the amount you intend spending.

Mully will also accept home baking (provided it's good. God help you if the cake isn't moist) (Hint for extra credit; Mully is fond of carrot cake)

(Put the pitchfork down, this post is clearly a pisstake)
(unless you actually do want to buy me stuff, in which case I meant every word of it)

To jolly true there and it is just so sad that people put this much pressure on themself all in the name of christmas. These friends are in a serious situation and it is just so sad.

That's not cake it's salad with an egg based dressing/binder. At the very least it's quiche. It certainly isn't cake once you stick veges in it. That's just perverted.

Beer is made from hops. Hops are grains. Therefore, beer is an efficient delivery method for grains.

Surely you haven't forgotten the rule of half. If something has too much calories then you break it in half. That way there are half the calories and you can have twice as much

It's way less than half unless you are especially careful because you tend to spill a lot from the break.

...and it's not just the pressie thing that stresses me...it's the having to keep both sides of the family happy.....split bloody famlies suck.

Isn't Christmas about Jesus being born? Heard that somewhere a long time ago.

Anyway, I think Christmas sucks, I know I won't be getting what I want so I'll go sulk in my Bourban

I refuse to go in to debt over Christmas!
Never have, and I'm way too old to start now.
We've had a tough year...converted our credit card hotpoints to vouchers and will give them to our kids and grandkids.
    Everybody else misses out...tough!

I don't really have too much sympathy for those who feel the need to compete with the Joneses and buy expensive gifts they can't afford, though.
We should all learn to say "No" occasionally, and not buy in to the commercial hype.

I only buy one present at xmas really.
Everyone else is capable of surviving with presents - and I dont have to live with them to hear them going on about it.

    Sorted.
