ALL DRINK DRIVERS ARE FUCKING ARSEHOLES....THERE IS NO EXCUSE, NO LET OFF, NO REASON FOR IT

Especially the knobs that were pulled up outside my place at 1.30am this morning with the blue and whites. Then when the drunken, over loud, uneducated voices were taken away in the police car due to the policeman getting fed up with them. CLANK...BANG...CLANK. Blardy tow truck at 2.30am.

Oh... I dont tend to drink anything alcoholic whilst out on the bike

Drinking & Riding... wtf....Drinking & Driving...wtf... we regularly stop at local pubs on our way back home... raspberry/coke thats me & me hubby has a handle . Some people are selfish thinkers when it comes to alcohol/drinking in pubs etc & forgetting their limits. Not us...our kids n moko`s come first.
And Im sure this is the same view for most.

I'd have a beer or two and take the car a few kms through light traffic, but I wouldn't drive utterly pissed.

If I'm going to drive my alcohol intake would be minimal - couple of glasses tops. On the bike my alcohol intake would be a big fat zero. I don't feel my driving to be impeded by a glass of wine or a beer, primarily because the four round things ( no, not my spare tyres) will give me all the balance and stability I need. The two round things under me (no, not my bum cheeks), my bike wheels, will NOT give me balance and stability if I misjudge anything. For me, keeping my bike balanced and upright is not so guaranteed with booze in my system and the absence of a tin can "safety net" clinches the deal!

I don't mind stopping for a beer while out for a ride.

I'm not riding anywhere near my or my bike's limit so a tiny fractional reduction in reaction time isn't going to bother me too much.

I probably wouldn't ride if I was at the legal limit, even though it has at some point been established that it is safe to operate a motor vehicle after that much alcohol.

I think I've probably been more of a hazard when almost going to sleep inside my helmet than when I've had a pint in the afternoon, ironically one is illegal the other can't be tested for.

I'm just learning to drive at the moment and have promised myself to never EVER drink and drive. I will be buying a Breathalyzer when I get my restricted. Even though I wouldn't drink more than 1 drink in an evening if i know I'm driving, (or maybe no drink at all.)

A couple of days ago I went skateboarding after a few beers and broke my arm. If alcohol makes me skate like a moron, imagine how it would make me drive? It's scary to think about. There are so many idiots out there on our roads, it's kind of like a minefield.

A mate of mine did that, broke his clutch arm, rode through a red and got nabbed. Copper took him to A&E, which was nice of him but when the quack gave my mate some painkillers the cop took his keys for eight hours. Suck.

I would also have a single beer at the end of a ride. The thing I make sure is that I am not going out for a "blast" after and I only have one, preferrably with something to eat.
