    Idiots do runners

    It's the way of nature.
The police care otherwise they would not [with monotonous regularity] provide a disclaimer almost immediately after yet another person dies after a police pursuit.

Minds a good deal more cognisant than yours recognise the fundamental and basic need for "fight or flight" that is embedded within the human mind. Most of us control this 'need', some of us struggle to do so.

Yeah, probably; they hope everyone will forget in that time and that everything negative will go away.

and it takes them that long to sort their shit out and think of ways to hide the evidence that may just incriminate them

    No, wrong.

The way of 'nature' is to run from something you fear.

The way of 'law' is to nab someone for doing something against the law.

Many people fear the law, so they run. Right or wrong.

It's hard to have too much sympathy, and it'd probably be misplaced anyway. There's also Haiti where there's a lot of people dead, or about to die , but then they're a long way away so perhaps we don't need to be too sympathetic? I know who gets my sympathy.
I caught a glimpse of the bike on the late news, knew it wasn't a harley but the snippet was too short to make out what it really was. Any ideas? Not that it matters, just curious.

Do you mind if I use that as my signature? It would appear to sum up police attitudes.

Do you think that if riders face a 3 year jail sentence for people doing runners will put an end to it ?

Uh, tougher than death? What were they proposing to do to him - send a bunch of mutant zombies into the afterworld to lock up his ghost?

Sort of stands to reason dunnit? No matter what the penalty, if you get away, it's irrelevant. If you don't it's probably comparatively inconsequential

Acc still fund the cost of the complete crash i.e. cops, ambos, fire and other cost related to this.

Well, I saw a big naked bike with a big tank., and a rather wide front tyre.
Twin discs and inline 4 has been mentioned on here..... So, we looking at Hornet?? Could be any one of them, as they all share the same tyres... Even a 250 fits with the 150k eye whitness "radar gun".
