If you started seeing someone new and kept it secret it will just end in disaster, you may lose them both .

I know i was dumped last yeah from my fiancee and remained friends and what i thought was us trying to work things out and maybe getting back together but in hindsight i was wrong as it turned out she had been seeing someone else for a few months and kept it from me and when i found out i was devastated bigtime.

If you do indeed care about her as you say you do you'd be honest with her and if you find someone else be honest with her cause lies always come out. Honesty is the Key

    Honesty = Earns respect
I agree with what you say. Where do you stand on casual hook ups? Nothing serious just a fun shag?

Honesty is always important - however, maybe she led you to believe it wasn't really completely over....... so maybe at the breakup stage, the truth should be told - its either over, or its not - so its best to find out at this point in time. If its over, then say its over and let him/her know that its time to move on.

Feelings will always be there - you both shared something in order to have had a relationship, and the last person to get over it, is generally the last one to find someone else.

Glad its worked out for you in the end Big Dan and good luck with everyone else and relationships ...... there are no rules, just follow your heart and tell it as it is

    Update

My ex is getting shitty because I "ignore" her when I'm down at riding.

I said hi, asked her how her day was. Asked how her horses were going.

Still get told I'm ignoring her. She was standing over to the side with a horse owner talking about the owners new horse. Apparently I was supposed to go over there, interrupt them, all because she wanted to have a talk with me. How am I supposed to know that?!? I can't win.

She wanted to remain friends, I said we could try but it would be hard to start with and a bit weird.

I seem to be the one jumping through hoops to try and keep the friendship going but I'm really close to throwing in the towel.

Should I keep trying or just call it quits. I don't want to stop riding there as I get my rides at a really good rate but I think I might have to disappear for a couple of months.

    Any advice?

From my limited experience....remaining friends doesn't work. Time to move one and yes, be civil. It's over, move on and be happy. Make new friends. The world is full of interesting people.

If you find someone who you want to spend time with and are comfortable doing so, go for it, but if you are going to get a fuck friend, then for christ sakes don't base a relationship on it, it doesn't work eh. All in all you have to do what makes you happy.

Yeah man, if you go out of your way to stay friendly, you will either end up back together witout even realising it, alternatively the next girl you meet will think you still have feelings for her.

Bottom line is, woman are fucked, beat off/buy hookers and be happy. Spend the excess coin on drugs, bikes and video games.

So you ignored her and she had a tanty to get your attention? Hahaha... predictable much?! Ignore her more. She'll be wanting u back before u know it. Whether that's what you want is up to you.
Don't stop riding there just cos she's there! She'll think you're pathetic. Just be a man. I reckon she'll soon realise the little boy she's "sort of seeing" is a chump

Carry on your horse riding, keep it civil and stuff but don't bend over backwards to keep her happy. Do ya own thing.

The girl who is "sort of seeing" someone is the girl I want to go out with LOL. My ex threw the tanty. Yes she wants me back. I'm not going back.
