Nope, plenty of coppers on the peninsula this weekend. I saw them when out riding on Sunday and one of my mate saw heaps the day before...
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Their bikes probably don't run long enough to be able to

Yet another example of the "exceeding the speed limit causes all accidents" blunt instrument. I've ridden to Akaroa a brazillian times over the years, and the fun stuff is mostly sub 100 kmh country. There are a few straights, but I think most people are smart enough to ride them at the speed limit because there is little fun in riding fast down a straight road (once you've found out what your bike will do).

The riding I have a problem with on the Akaroa GP, and something that a radar gun will never spot, is people getting driven by testosterone and ego and turning it into a race - riding too close, overtaking on corners (fine at Ruapuna, but I really hate going round a corner with someone beside me), cutting off etc. I'm not the fastest by a long shot (I know my limits and I ride a slow bike) and if a bike comes up fast behind me I'll usually let them past as soon as it's safe to do so, but some people think that they're on the final lap of a major race and anyone else on the road is a competitor who needs to be passed before the race is over, so they take risks.

+1 mate. That, and the idiots who go over the center line around bends (both riders and cagers). Here in wgtn we have a nice road called the Battle hill. I go over it many, many times, but most times it's just a death trap - most corners are blind and the risk of meeting headon with a cage on your lane is enormous. In winter you have the locals in SUVs that think it's ok to drive continuously over the centerline as long as you're below the speed limit, even around blind corners. In summer, you have fuckwit boyracer wannabe's that cut the corners race-style for an additional 3-4kph. And if that is not enough, you have to always watch your mirrors for the odd idiot on two wheels that comes from behind and overtakes you and will overtake you at any cost, no matter that you are in the middle of a blind corner.
