Ha! That's right, just like the friggin ACC levy campaign - let's just jump up and down and hassle another group, like cyclists, to divert attention. Not withstanding there are many motorcyclists on this web site who, OMFG, might just happen to also ride a push bike, or even (heaven forbid!) drive a car.
Belligerent twats like Flip make me think the government wasn't stinging motorcyclists enough with the new levy, maybe $2000 a year is more appropriate. I am ashamed of being categorized with red necks like him just because I ride a motorcycle sometimes.

Well my opinion on boi racers is simple crush all their cars and turn them into boi walkers. Its a bit like pulling the wings off flies.

My logic for determining consequence goes something like this: Are you male and under 30? Is your car a an; impressa, evo or skyline? Has it been modified? Were you breaking the traffic laws at the time? If any 3 of the answers are yes your vehicle goes straight into the crusher. Simple really.

Seems fair enough, but I reckon take away all the toys - and then punish them.
Look at the "Top Gear" example - if you cant drive/ride your own, one will be provide for you.
Would love to see someone have to give up their FatBoy temporarily due to noise. With a small provision that if he wants to ride anything it has to be a frilly pink vespa.
Likewise a R1 rider with speeding infringements, has to ride a fucked JAWA to work.
Now that would be punishment

Almost all the things you've mentioned are already covered by existing laws. The exception being "When we start cruising around looking for trouble at nights." Until there is actually IS trouble it's not illegal and should never be as it's a peaceful gathering and thus lawful until such time as it becomes non-peaceful.

Or would you prefer the Police to be able to say "Move along or we'll arrest you - I reckon you're looking for trouble" to families picnicing in the park? Almost all of New Zealand has had a guts full of the boi racer behavior. Society as a whole has said pull your sox up or suffer the consequences. Fines don't work, putting young men in prison is, well not the right thing to do. In desperation we have had to make laws to curb this behavior that well are sitting right on the edge of folks common law rights. I have no sympathy for any young man who seems to think they have the right to build a race car and use it on the road illegally, its just madness for us to allow this to happen.

I hold the boi racers fraternity with such a low regard I really don't care what happens to them as long as they go to hell. I am however amused when they threaten civil disobedience. It's what they have been doing in the name of fun and all its got them in is hot water.

Its not the Police or the Media or mr and mrs Kiwi or the goverment that are causing the problem. If I thought for a second that the laws were un-just then I would be the first to say so. The boi racers have no body to blame but themselves.
