    GSXR 750 or ZX7R?

I'm looking for a new bike. I have both mentioned bikes in the title that i'm looking at purchasing.

    Both are year 2000.

The Zx7R has half the kms. Both bikes are the same price.......

I dunno how to decide, the Suzi has ohlins fitted for someone much lighter than myself, standard sys on the kwaka.

What would you decide on and why?

Ps. I am a little more inclined toward the ZX7R, it just seems to have more personality. However as I said I like both pretty much equally.

Any good and bad stuff on each bike would be helpful.

If the gixxer is a " Y" model, go for that.
Fuel injected, great handling, lots of bits available for them.
How many km has the GSX-R done?

40000kms..........so thats why i'm finding this difficult. A little worried about the kms......

GSXR with good sys etc in very good condition, or an extremely tidy ZX7R with only 20000kms.......(Both have the mandatory pipes/screen etc mods)

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I know that's not that much really, my last bike I sold had 46k, but it was a 900 and less revvy/more torque.

    I'm less worried now however!

This site says Get the GSXR.
I've ridden the ZX750 RR model and that gave me the horn (for sound, at least).
On the other hand, Sugilite has a single R 750. It's a dog. But it goes. And goes. And goes. Over 100,000kms and he wins races on it.

i think the 7s are better looking,
ive owned both and think the 7 handled better in standard guise, if a bit on the hard side,
the gsxr felt smoother and was possibly a bit faster,

the 7s are a dream to do the valve clearances on as well but use a rocker system and shims where the gsxr uses cam onto bucket over shim, so cams have to come out when you do the clearances,

ease of servicing or less parts to go wrong

Having to adjust the valve clearances on a GSX-R is a pretty rare event

    Ya sold the Horny'et already?....

    I'd go for the GSXR750...

Yep! I'll probably sell it by the end of the year. I'm a slut like that. I want one of everything! (problem is I usually spend all the money on them then sell then off tidier than I brought them!)
