I hate it when I see pics of me (never seen any vid) I always reckon I look like im having a shit rather than piloting an MX bike LOL!!!
My body position is always wrong. I must do a broxy coarse one day???
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

i just spoke to Ian's wife, Ian was the poor chap helicoptered out, he has a few broken ribs and a punctured lung, but should be relesed this afternoon, he was not on the green quad that was at the bottom of the gully, that happened while we were attending to him, it is quite impressive how high quads can bounce,

while we are talking about injuries, i would like to thank the medics from the Pukekohe Motorcycle Club for helping us out with 5 of the 6 rides this year, we had two advanced paramedics and a qualified anthetist there on sunday, which means pain releif and the level of care was much higher this year. thanks

Good the hear he will be ok!

We saw a quad guy loose it. Not a big loose but went off on a corner then rolled down the bank. Then the bloody quad came and rolled over him!
How come they always seem to hit the rider?? BLOODY DANGEROUS things I reckon!

Anyway thanks from us all for the ride Mate! Cheers!

Cheers for the vid. Log jams like that look frustrating.

Looks easy enough to get up the bank as long as you had a bit of speed? Arm chair critic :P

I went through exatly the same thing with the Cr250 ( good bike in the right hands) similar horsepower to a 450 4T (49-51 horsepower ish). I was always tentitve on the gas and it would get away from me every now and then. After many years of karting (I know 2 smokers pretty well) therefore a 2Smoker it had to be, so I could do all my own work. I've only been riding trials/MX for 3 years or so and with the japs going out of 2smokers that only really left an 03 Ktm in my price bracket. I looked at the 250 and 300, then discovered the 200 had a 125 size frame with good torque and horse power. The 250/300 share the 300 frame and the 125/200 the 125 frame. If I was going to step down might as well go the whole hog so I went for the smaller chassis (125 size) with the 200cc 42 horse smoker in it for torque. Bought a 03 200exc then another for to replace my sons CR125, then a good deal on the 08 came up. As you can probably tell I bloody love the thing! Good enough for my fat tired old arse! LOL!!
You should have come and found us I don't mind swapping for a loop??

I am not saying you should get a Ktm by any means as a Wr or a 250 4T would be good as well, but ride them all then choose!

Really just saying I was in the same boat as you and going smaller made me enjoy the sport so much more and at my age/experiance winning isn't an option so it worked out good! Do it mate big cc's on the side didn't make me fasterer! LOL!!! you won't regret it!
I think the Airfoam ute was Westie,Chia etc, wise words about the bike mate,i myself have only been riding for 3 years and went from a KXF250 to my current ride which i think was a f**kup of epic proportions,i just don't have the experience or riding skill to control it.I was just hitting my straps on the 250 and jumped the gun getting the big banger....i'll sort something out cause riding dirtbikes is toooo much fun to give it up!!
