What do you do to hot up your buckets?

the reason I ask is that I have a Z200 that I ride about town on, it goes ok stock, but I reckon I could get a bit more out of it.
I have a spare motor I can sacrifice so I dont blow up the origional, give me some ideas.

    lol
na easiest way is to get more cc so look for a bigger engine that you can rob parts off and fit
it barrel and piston from bigger engine (I have no idear what a z200 is sorry)

Nitros oxide systems (much better than new old stock)

I knew about the nos lol.
A Z200 is a mid 70s Kawasaki lightweight, 2 valve 200 single. supposed to be about 18hp, disk front, and quite light. is fairly zippy around town but I wouldnt mind seeing how much I can get from the stock motor.

kinda got sand kicked in my face the other day by some kid on a cb125t.....

Is the same family as the old KL250 trail bike, but has 12v and electric starter.

yeah, on the look for a 250, can probably bore out to 300+ too, that would be fun, however at the moment I was probably going to make it breathe better, by fitting a free flow filter and exhaust, cleaning up the ports, and a bigger carb ( have a few laying about)
raise the compression a bit, probably by removing the base gasket and maybe planing the head.
sorting the ignition system, and advance it a bit.
oh and maybe do some cam work, not sure what yet though

should be good for a bit more go, and not worried about killing a donor motor, I will still have the origional to return it to stock

Go to your local Repco and get them to order in "Four stroke performance tuning" by A. Graham Bell.
They should have a seldom used catalogue with user manuals and suchlike in it, this book should be listed somewhere near the back of that.
You should also be able to find it elsewhere.
    It's a good start.
Expect it to be expensive but I must say it is well worth it.
Your local library MAY also have it (ours does!)

There is an old edition you can find easy as on the net but the one in the shops can get is the second edition, it is quite a bit different.
