Overseas it can happen after as little as a month and it's been sweet on the DR since March 2008.
It's had a shitload of vibration in that time.
I may pull it apart and solder an external aerial in on a 50cm lead and see how it goes.
Let us know how it goes, 4Skins one went too on our last CCA pre ride. It was also mounted to his DR650.

Pulled the aerial out, cleaned and lubed up the connector and it's been sweet since.
It's been on the DR for 2 years now.

The 2 screws beside the antenna come out and the small bit of case comes off then you can pull the whole antenna away from the internal hinge which is actually an MCX connector.

    No need yet

Still got to get the adjustable leak jet, stronger pumper spring, main jet, needle, intake adapter and mod the cable bits for the DR's throttle cables.

    Hey Nordie

Who did you send those magnets to up here and are there any left?

I lost the one on the PD front rim for my speedo sensor and was wondering if they would do the job.

    Speedo magnets

I've just drilled my front disc with a 5mm hole and the almost drilled through with a 6.5mm one.
The magnet sits in there nicely and if there are any issues I may JB weld/epoxy it in but I think it'll stay there OK.

Got the wheels swapped over, 14/44 gearing, the magnet works, the "enduro" seat and side covers are on, the GSXR can is back on and performing much better than the stocker.

Apart from the side covers being white and the seat yellow and purple, it's ready to rumble tomorrow.

Spotted you in town with the purple seat. Did any one shoot at you? Not for having a purple seat, but for thinking you were a hells Angel
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
