    Well, yeah - the SVS can easily achieve 65mpg. But that's 23 - 24 km/l. 37km/l equates to around 103mpg.

I daresay a small bike ridden quietly might achieve such figures. Suffice to say that none of my bikes have ever done that...

the biggest variable in fuel consumption is the rider.

i get better fuel consumption from my corona than i do from the bandit.

Seriously, I have never seen ANY bike get 37km/l ... you sure that's right?
I had the trip odo ticking from full and when it read 220 I went and filled it up, I
still do not believe it yet it has done it 3 times to me at around the same average consumption.

that could just be cause FZRs are gas guzzlers I went from around 300ks /17lts on my ZZR 250 down to 200 at a push on the FZR 400. considering its only an extra 150cc, thats pretty crap

in my experience those little hyo's are ultra economical. $10 would get me a weds night thrash over the 'takas and then back to work again the for next day

try adding a couple of teaspoons of sugar every time you fill up. you will soon find you aren't spending nearly as much money on fuel......

don't laugh now. My RS250 does about 8-9 litres per 100km on a very twitchy wrist, but have managed to do tad over 6l per 100km by being very careful (just to see how low I can get it). Wasn't fun one bit, hated the whole experiment. She is thirsty but rewarding!

Damn - my wallet would like it too...an' I thought the SV did OK...

Better keep that bike the way gas prices are heading again...

The worst I have ever managed on the SV was around 58mpg - after putting on the Two Bros can and fanging it around for a bit to listen to the new noise...

    mix of splitting @ 30-40km & 100km bits commute
that equals 330km on 10L for those who cant add

I must be getting from 33 to 35 km/L on my Hyo GV250, the trip meter was close to 400 km when I put 12 litres into it. Thats mostly to and from from work with a little bit of learners cruising up the Pyes Pa Road, up the Kaimais and around the Mount and Papamoa. The speedo has seen 100 kmph a good few times (hee hee, 3 weeks into my 6L, naughty boy!!!).

Now do you know why it's km/L with a capital "L"? ISO stated the abbreviation for litre should be capital L, despite the litre not being named after a person, so that it's never confused with the figure 1.

Yeah 33 km/L is about right for a Hyo 250, I can ride from Upper Hutt to Napier and still have plenty in the tank for running around.

My Ducati 748R does about 24 km/L, My 999 does about 22 km/L and my BMW F650 does about 19-20 km/L...so it is the least economical... (these figures represent "spirited" hiway riding) :-)
