Good to see that it all ended well. Sam will be rapt.

Had a play around with the Pigs gearing and chucked the little stock tank back on her, man what a lot of fun she is.
Had a 13 front and 48 rear sprockett which ment a top speed of around 130ish shit for road but big smiles in the dirt.
the more i ride this pig the more i dont wonna stop...

Check compression and air/fuel mix. If these are right it should start first pop. I am not an experienced kick-starter but I'm amazed how easily mine starts - almost always first kick.

something aint tuned right bro. if she tuned right you shouldnt have any probs, there normally a piece of piss to start.
once you over that TDC it should fire right up.... have ya checked valves, decomp free play, plug etc etc

shouldnt be hard work bro thats ment to start when trying to hold on to the bugger.

got it going in the end - started as soon as i kicked it without the choke on. only took a 100 kicks before i tried that

due for a valve check and it had been sitting a few weeks if that had anything to do with it

sitting a few weeks fuel couldve been a little stale in the bowl, but yer the choke is a touchy thing, im still figuring out how cold is it to use full/half or nudda. sometimes i havent had her going for week and she'll fire straight away with no choke.

Cool. Ive got to make one for my XR at some stage and thats a good idea. One thing I'd suggest though - invert the bolts at the back. If you hit a rock or two the only way you'll get it off is to grind the nutts off (ouch!) The mushroom head bolts are perfect for use upside down.

yeah though about that, but then i'd have to change the bracket cause the bolt gets in the way of the mounting bolts, ive banged it with the hammer to bend them a little so the nuts wouldnt come off so there gonna get grinded of anys so sacrificial for now
