Be super aware, it was lovely up here this morning, it is lovely now. Inbetween we got the most horrendous weather. Coming back from the smoke we were less than 50 kph on the bridge and still struggling to see, lightening, wind the works. Lucky we were in the car, can not imagine what it would have been like on 2 wheels.

Unfortunately I can. My wife and I left Parnell heading for Mairangi Bay just as it started. There was so much water our brakes got water logged and went spongy. Also proved I definately need some better wet weather gear.

I dont think any gear would have kept you dry in those conditions. You poor bastard!

So anyone going to brave it or is the current fine period just like yesterday... waiting for us to show ourselves a decent enough distance from shelter before dumping on us??? I'm suffering withdrawal at the moment... haven't had the beast out for ages.

I was marshalling at hampton downs and my wet weather gear did keep me dry (except for the occaisional drip running down the radio cord from the headset)

problem is when it keeps you dry it tends to make you sweat (yuk)

Looking at the rain radar (and out the window) there may be some weather hit us in the next hour or so but my guess is we wont get much of it
Info from anyone north would be useful (this is where it will come from)

I am intending to go unless it turns to shit before 9:30

Titirangi will probably get some though

I won't. As I was wheeling out the bike the weather has set in already... I think you may find it's coming from the west... I can see it running across the city and getting heavier.

Have a good swim guys... Just don't have the heart for that.
