    MISSING PERSON

Most of you will be aware that teenager Leo Lipp - Neighbours , and his orange stationwagon have been missing since janurary without trace.
We had a visit from his parents yesterday (still searching) on account of there being a possible sighting of an orange car in these parts arround that time .
As adv riders we travel most of the gravel roads he was known to frequent , and by standing on the pegs and riding slowly we have a visibility advantage for spotting something out of the ordinary.
So ... next time you're out and about with no particular agender and time to kill , slow up for a while (if thats possible ) and check out a likley section of road.
I know I would be kicking myself for having the ability to search but not doing so . and I will be checking the roadsides in detail between here and Bulwer when this shit weather leaves us and next time Im heading away on the bike I will take an extra hour and look at the area between here and Elaine Bay

Take SH63 to Kawatiri Junction, turn right onto SH6, very roughly 5km north turn right onto Lamb Valley Road. It'll be signposted from SH6. Often the pits is in the first paddock on your left, visible from SH6.
    Cheers,

I'm after a set of super knobbly/cheap tyres for my new bike, DOT is optional but not a bad idea, anyone spotted any? 21" front and small 18" rear the MT40s on it currently are not exactly inspiring...

Well yesterday I was working in the Abel tasman on the DOC huts. Got pretty wet there - does that answer your question? Hey I answered a question with a question - cool.

Come around and have a look at the collection.
The Innova 21" from your DR is DOT.

Stink. Carted the bike the whole way up from Chch so "gotta" use it. I'll try and ride wherever you guys wanna go but Sunday is my only option.

    Cheers R

P.S. there was no snow on top of Hope Saddle (just north) and the streams were pretty normal. Guess the ground is pretty soggy though.

Well i'm out for any riding this weekend. was giving the DRZ a few more oil changes after going swimming with it in the wairoa river on monday afternoon but after warming it up noticed white smoke/steam - popped the radiator cap to find it bubbling flat out.

I used to charge into rivers, now that i've felt their rath i'd rather get wet feet!!!!!

Ditto. I've got quite a few small 18s that are not up to race use any longer, mostly non-DOT.

Head gasket replacement isn't difficult. Helps if you have the service manual listing the procedure and torque values.
