Starting to look like your XR250 but with a bit more motor. Keep up the good work!

It's 3 cylinders more than necessary as it is!
Part of me wants too pull the cylinder head off just to have a look at the valves
19mm inlet and 17mm exhaust valves...
Sooo tiny and cute!
You'd need an endoscope to do any porting.
I pulled the cap off the #1 carb and the diaphragm was in good nick but under the diaphragm were some 1mm or so sized bits of dirt sitting on top of a jet.
Popped another cap off and no dirt there.
Bidding on a pair of coils/spark leads and a complete airbox/collector/filter frame at the moment.
Oh, also noticed the engine number has been removed with a chisel![]()
Have a gander at this.
It's a GS build thread but about 2/3's down the first page he goes over different ideas for mounting a non standard front end and how to deal with the different bearing sizes.

It's looking like it'll have a rake of 27 deg and trail of around 100mm or so.
Right...
Forks...
The KX125 stem is 30mm at the bottom bearing and 25mm at the top.
The top bearing surface needs lowering by 5mm or so and it'd fit perfectly.
The DR650 stem is 30mm at the bottom and 30mm at the top.
The KX bearing will fit on the DR stem for the bottom
They can't find me a bearing to fit the DR stem in the top
The DR and KX wheels both use the same axle diameter so with some fiddling the DR wheel would work with the KX forks.
The KX sliders are 39mm.
The DR sliders are 43mm.
To use the DR stem it'd need the top bearing surface machined down to 25mm and the top clamp bit down to about 20mm.
Catch is, it's hollow.
Anyone pressed out a DR stem or know how they're fitted?
Then I could go KX stem in DR clamps?
If I machine the DR stem I can sell the KX front end complete and it pays for the machining.
Time to get drunk...
this any help ?

Since the DR's stem is hollow and I take it you mean it can't be machined down enough and the KX stem needs machining anyway, get a stem machined up from scratch. DR forks and brake going to be better so sell the KX to pay for the new stem.
The DR stem must be able to be pressed out.

Got a 20 tonne press @ work if ya need it. And acetylene if the press doesn't work![]()
