Got a badge number and the officers name?
No? Then I wouldn't bank on that piece of advice.
Unless there is a lane splitting law specifically - I can see nice legal fees trying to defend it in court.
I imagine it will be case of winning the battle but losing the war

Hi guys, I havent read the whole thread, pretty much just the first page, As some of you may or may not know, It is more than likely I have had more tickets than you, a youngn hooning around on a 2 stroke on the north shore tends to get them, anyway.. Currently I commute from Mission Bay to Greenhithe daily, I have now pretty much learnt the self control thing and following the speed limit... for the most part.
Anyway, to be honest, I have a pretty piss poor attitude towards cops, not a big fan regardless of the fact my dad was one (way back when cops were cops and hasnt been one for 20 years.) and I have the odd uncle etc that is one.
Today I got some faith back, there is the odd good one.
Today I hadnt ridden my bike for a whole week because of the rain... so I was a bit excited and giving it some I guess,
Without knowing I passed an unmarked car on the motorway at more than twice the speed limit shortly before getting to work, he pulled me over after I had left the motorway and I thought I was done for, we had a chat for about 15 minutes as my workmates came off the motorway as well as my boss to see me pulled over.
To cut a long story short, He cut me a very big break, he gave me a warning even though he knew where my speed was, and that he could take my licence there and then, send me to court.. 6 months loss of licence and big fines etc..
I was very lucky today, and because Ive been given a second chance, Im not going to mess it up...
The moral of the story is that not all cops are bad, just most of them, I actually want to track down this cop now and shake his hand, end of story
Confident the aprilia rsv4, IS the one
Awesome news. Nice to hear. Sounds like he was overly forgiving if you were doing 2x the motorway speed limit.
Political correctness: a doctrine which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd from the clean end.
