TDM is much more economical than the Street Triple was best when I first got it was less than 4l/100km but now more like 4.5l/100km Street Triple best was 5.5 and normally around 6l/100km ridden over the same roads but maybe not quite the same way.

My calculated fuel consupmtion 7L / 100km's Normally get around 5.5L / 100km taking it easy.

I can ride the Duc at any speed and i consistently get 5L / 100km

On the SVS I used to get around 22 - 24 km/l. The Gixxer does around 16 km/l...although one memorable trip to d'Auckland in atrocious conditions which necessitated a degree of care to stay upright, I managed close to 20km/l. Push it out and you drop to 14km/l...

I'd rather have the power than the fuel economy though...

Fuel consumption of your bike is

Proportional to how many demerit points I have left.

I'd prefer the torque, economy and sound of the twin.

People mock me for riding a 'little piece of shit' on the road but at 14 kilometres (approx) per litre, I think that I have the last laugh.... Bike is pretty much thrashed at over 100kph on my 12.5km each way commute too....
A tank can last me 2 whole working weeks if I only use it to go to work and back. Long distance trips the bike is still just as economical just waaaay more uncomfortable!

My Ducati S4 gets to around 220K (light comes on) and I usually fill it with about 12.3 litres

That equates : 220k divide by 12.3 litres = 16.2 Ks per litre.

or around 6 litres per 100km.

My CBR usually does around 4.5-5L/100km, depending on how I ride it of course. Thrashing the phuck out of it at Ruapuna does around 7L/100km. I'm keen to hear about the fuel economy of the hot smokers.

I am a quiet rider, but both my 1200 sporty and my 650 kawasaki twin use less than 4 litres per 100 on a normal ride. That can be transformed, particularly on the 650, with just a little right hand..

2 weeks? I've often used up most of a tank in 2 hours. One working day, I did about 220km in Auckland. As far north as Oteha Valley Rd and as far south as East Tamaki.

I enjoy the long rides... fill, 400km, quick break, fill bike and you, ride for another 400km, another break (always under 30min) then another 400km
