    When parking your bike...

Which way do you face the front wheel?
I notice some face it away (to the right) from the bike lean.
Personally, I always face it (to the left) towards the bike lean.

If I happen to park on an incline (facing downward) I would still face the wheel to towards the bike lean. Just seems the natural thing to do.
Facing it away from the lean (in this scenario) would probably aid the bike in not falling over ...yes?

Always to the left for me, the ZX6 barely leans over at all when on it's stand so if the wheel is to the right it is virtually upright.

And if I'm parking it on a slope, I'll generally back it in, and put the rear wheel against a curb or something similar :-)

If I wanna lock the steering it has to turn left...

Its a given that the bike is always parked rear wheel against the curb. Isn't it?

Yes yes, if locking you dont have a choice, but just normal parking of the bike when you want a coffee or a smoke do you have a preference?

Normal parking for a smoko - straight ahead seems just fine most of the time

generally into the lean, the front wheel trail makes it want to go that way putting the other way will make it lean over ever so slightly more I would think. Also, if I've had to flick it over to reserve to I'll put em the other way to remind me to go straight to a fuel station. Yeh would expect that to aid it a little bit, better to leave it in gear or park the other way round though I would think.

Usually left - increases the angle onto the stand and feels a little less likely to fall over t'other way. As much force of habit as anything else...

Always to the left. That's the way the steering lock works.

Do you think 'dressing to the right/left' has anything to do with parking ya bike Jacko?

I guess you may have to get some scales and see if the weight changes on the side stand only, then you will know if turning left or right changes that, cause if the lean angle is more upright when turned to the right there should less weight on the stand?

But someone else has already said that so I will just carry on lurking.....

It looks better if turned to the right - so always to the right for me.

To the left, automatically. However I have been told that if the bike is on a lean and has a full tank of gas (i.e. reeeeeeeally heavy to "pull up" out of the parking lean) to turn the front wheel to the right and heave it upright. Admittedly that is not talking about how you leave it when you get off, rather what you do once you're back on and ready to ride off into the sunset.

(Haven't had the opportunity to test that theory out yet).
