Twig and Tweet don't generally proselytise. On this occasion -- protecting the environmental values of the Mackenzie Basin -- I think their cause is a just and righteous one. Landscape values are important and should be considered as part of the mix for any development or environmental intervention.

....all cool for them to promote their ideals....perfect world and all that....love the ideals they promote...greenpeace hardmen, eco greenie crews....hero's....its also where they choose to be in life...good on them...im not green in my politics , but im a damn sight greener than a heap of hypocritical greenies i know...like any other organisations of humans, be it a m/c racing club or a school committee, theres always going to be , those who do the work and those who pay lip service...the ones who pay lip service are the dangerous pricks who will sign petitions and have public meetings about such stuff as...'NO WAY,' to a small piece of fairly useless, rural land land being used as a training area for teaching kids off road motorcycle skills or some such activity, because its environmentally unfriendly or a danger to some fairly common nz flea...hippie feelings in a strictly commercial , P fukn C world...idealism increases exponentially the further one is from the problem...i hear....
Personally, I have no time for F & B. I dislike their quasi-political status. They are not elected, and do not represent all New Zealanders, and yet they seem to be hand in glove with DOC, a gvmt department. I am happy for them to be a lobby group for their members, but they seem to receive government support, too? It doesn't seem correct to me. I think they have far too much "say" in issues, relative to their membership.
fuck them they are cunts
