Something in the Moutere Depression might suit our westerly cohorts better, but I'm stuck for ideas. Flora Saddle carpark, watch the sunset before departing?

We could use the caving club hut, on top of Takaka hill, as it has cooking & eating gear, and shelter. But the road is sealed, apart from the driveway. Road bikes can get in there no problem, too.

    What say you?
yeah Hori bay sounds good, we could have a KLR part hunt.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

The Maungatapu at the moment is much more technical than anything in the Clarance.

Went for a wee ride up the applby river today to clean the bike and scrub in the new t63. Hhad a ball teaching the klr to swim, although at one stage the current started pushing me into a deep part which was a worry so I had to turn into the current and rev the snot outa it to get out of the rapids and back into the shallower part (phew). Lesson, Don,t cross rivers at rapids or swiftly moving water.

Doess anyone know how far up the river you can go?, someone told me that you can get to Waiti.
May be a mission one day if anyone wants to get their feet wet and practice didymo infected river crossings (fcuken slippery)

Yep I'm a gonna head down & have a look. I'm gonna keep an eye on the weather forecasts. I will be heading down from here early Sat morn & come back late Sat nite.
I prob won't do the enduro hte following day as my tyres aren't up to it.

    Anyone else wanna trickle down?

All sounds good Mr Wolf but...... Hori bay would be better on a weekend IMHO, simply because it would suit us betterer,
I can't think of anything out this way either, except for say........ Harwoods hole.
Are the road riders invited to this hoe down or is it exclusive invite only stuff, only for those who ride proper bikes

Ok I've been looking at the weather map thing & altough it looks a bit cloudy with a bit of drizzle I'm gonna stick with my original plan & head down to Clarence on Sat morning. I don't thnk it'll be a beaut sunny day but it certainly doesn't look like constant rain either.

I plan on leaving here about 730am & cruising down.

If there are any others that want to chance it singout & i can meet you's at the church carpark at the end of Atawhai cres.

    Later
