IT WAS EBOLA, LA LA LA EBOLA
Sigh. How often do you break a hydraulic clutch? Hardly ever. I've done it once when I endo'd big time. Job cost me less than $100 for a new hose and labour.
You cant back up anything by saying it'll cost you body parts for KTM replacements... Bad call. Especially late model KTMs. -_-
i have to agree, certain yamaha parts cost an absolute shitload, more than ktm
for example, over $100 for one pipe mount. $160 for one tiny powervalve piece, wouldnt have been more than 1cm2. Thankfully the expensive shit doesnt break much.
if ya want cheap genuine parts, get a suzuki.
I think he said he broke where the banjo bolt goes into the reservoir and the quote for replacement was ~ $700. If that's not expensive in your world...
Smoke 'em if you have 'em
You run what you brung, and pray you brought enough
Though I hope you have some spare body parts to sell when you have to pay for parts for it. Someone I know has recently discovered that with his ktm.So now its "I Think" .....I think he said he broke where the banjo bolt goes into the reservoir and the quote for replacement was ~ $700. If that's not expensive in your world...
All rather tedious when such obviously experienced and well informed people feel somehow obligated to contribute to the discussion, with complete crap......
A Suzuki rubber exhaust joiner cost $80, therefore, every single part for Suzukis are expensive and overpriced, did I mention poorly made aswell?
we may just go where no ones been
Where's Barty? Surely he can contribute to this thread ...![]()
Man you guys take things way to serious!!!Harmless comment & you guys freak out!!!!!!
What I know is a piece of the hydralic clutch setup got broken (I think as descibed above) and the KTM geuinequote for replacement is ~ $700. Magura were about half that but compared to $57 for a clutch cable for a suzi, $30 for a honda, $55 for a kawi(all on B4B), it's quite a lot.
Maybe not well informed but it's definitely not baseless.
08 450 SX-F. If you happen to know where to find good clutch parts that are a bit cheaper I'm all ears.
