Ha oh, as long as it is higher than 30 octane, it should not be diesel at least. But it would be wrong if at least one sucker did not fill there bike with the stuff on a KB jaunt.

Bugger the fuel, where's the nearest booze for resupply? I'll be coming up from the south tomorrow via Fortrose, what the last takeaway refreshment stop along the way?
The views expressed above may not match yours - But that's the reason my Dad went to war - wasn't it?

I guess from the bottom, Tokanui which is just beyond Fortrose or if you overshoot try Papatowai store but neither will be cheap. The Invercargill Licensing Trust will be cheaper, but hey you might strike it lucky and with your suave looks and flashing eyes, you might get it cheaper!! BTW Normajeane posting in case your think scummy fancies you!

Cheers, you silver tongued devil you. I'm not going through Invergiggle - going Gorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre, Mataura, Edendale, Fortrose like this. I've never been through the Catlins before, so tomorrow it is, and Tokanui it is. I just want some beers and coke, I've already got the higher octane stuff.

Looks like a good trip. Mataura is still in the ILT area, and you cannot buy from a store in the area (I suppose that includes Tokanui! but it has a pub). Ride safe and see you in Tautuku. Oh yes, mind the mozzies! NJ

Okay; sorry for replying so late but I been working and receiving medical attention.

The lunch is definitely at the Catlins Diner in Owaka and is timed for about 1:30-2:00.
This is to give them time to clear out the normal lunchtime rabble. SD, NJ and I more or less planned a ride to Kaka Point with lunch on the return leg.

The proprietor is very keen to get a pic of the bikes in front of the diner so he can put it on his website.

They are making up a selection of salads and a selection of cold meats for us. They also do gluten free.

The petrol at the Papatowai store is 91 octane and they also sell diesel for those with Moto Guzzis and/or KTMs.

I think that's just about covered everything. Ride safe, all and we'll see you tomorrow or Saturday.

Actually Mataura is a separate trust. I think Tokanui is in the Mataura Licensing Trust area.

Just had a call from Nelson Hospital. Unfortunately my Dad has had a 'heart attack." Fortunately he is grizzling about his sore chest from the nurses jumping on it so that's good. So its off to sunny Nelson this weekend instead. Have a great weekend guys and gals. I had a Super Tenere on loan booked too- maybe next time.
