Maybe it's just that all the young'uns are getting ready for their new year's boozy blowouts while us older types have nothing better going on today than replying to a KB thread/poll and thus skewing the results?

I know right, and in another 15 years after that there will be no bikes on the road at all, I mean, just look at the distribution of 0-15 year olds in your poll

And how is your daytona in a different world from a japanese 4cyl sports bike? I think you'll have a hard time answering that one. And don't give me that 'because it's not Japanese' that you're kind seem to cling to . Rode a Daytona, good impressiont- but you are pretty out of line here mate if you think you're that different from us 'jumped up sports bikes'. We're all out there on the bikes having fun for one reason and that is turning.

except, as you implied, for those of us that don't have 'proper' bikes, right?

Oh come on guys no need to rub it in. Ignore that one ok lol.

To be honest I have seen a guy cornering a Hyosung GT250 pretty damn fast just going right at an intersection at a city... peg down, flying around. Gn250, hyosung- you can turn hard and have fun no matter the bike.

Also the type of service offered. ,,,HOW DO WE GET THE YOUNG FELLAS INTERESTED..... I reckon MX

GN250? Pah, who'd have one them, mine was a mighty GN400, some time ago now.

As for "proper" bikes, who gives a rats arse, so long as you like it and you're having fun riding it, then good on ya. I don't look down on anyone's bike, but I have met a few dicks over the years who I've looked down on, and it's been nothing to do with what they rode but how they rode it. I've met dicks and/or bad riders with some pretty nice bikes and met some real good guys and/or good riders on some pretty shitty bikes. So don't be too quick to judge someone by what they ride, get to know them a bit 1st.

Back in the '70's only young guys rode bikes,in the '80's it was young guys and slightly older guys....then bikes lost favour as Jap import cars came on the scene. This is exactly mirrored in your poll.

I find the only younger guys all use those bloody ugly ex250 ninja and hyosung bikes...

Are there no younger guys riding proper bikes out there?

Take the poll, let's find out!

I am old enough to be your mother, and young enough to ride your bike... lol!!!!

When I was learning to ride 20 odd years ago, I was pretty much the only guy I knew at my school that rode, then a mate did, he quit a few months later after dumping his gsxr250 once too often.

Seems like there is never LOTS of young people riding, but still several end up riding.

I wonder what the percentages over time say. Seems relatively constant. I bet there would be rises and falls but I would guess the percentage of riders vs drivers is pretty much the same.
