115 or 135 either way its still over the limit. You do the crime then do the time. Simple really.

need a license for my job, and if I get too many points it's goodbye Godzone and hello again to the Septic Isle (UK).
In this case, don't let the door kick you in the arse on the way out.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

If you're going to argue it, stop guessing, go back there and get hard numbers, distance, gives you speeds, its about the only way they are going to be proved wrong.

    Or, ya know, slow down.

I honestly don't understand people (and I'm related to some) that say "I have to have a licence for work" and then ride at speeds which will get them enough FlyBuys to loose their licence or at speeds which will win them an automatic 28 day holiday from driving.

With THIS in mind, the police seem to think that breaking the law for a 'few seconds' isn't particularly serious. So chill.. a few seconds of speeding is far less dangerous than leaving a baby in a baking car.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

A good radar detector can still pick up a radar gun well before you can see it.

I've very rarely come across instant on, the officers usually either don't have their radar gun on at all, or it's on constantly.

YOU have to lucky EVERY time, the cops on the other hand only have to be lucky once every so often..

(Oh, and instant on isn't used on EVERY car/bike, just the ones that 'look' fast..)

Was the car really 'dawdling'? at 95 K? really?

I think that if you were certain you weren't doing 135, then you needed to say so to the cop at the time. Chances are that he then would have offered to show you his evidence, and there would have been a nice 135 on the display of his device.

Whether the 135 was you, or somebody else doesn't seem to matter, you are the one that got stopped, and he has a digital display with 135 on it.

I think you'll be paying the fine and counting the demerits.

I think you have sufficient motivation to slow down. Coromandel is a nice ride, even at 95 K.
    Keep on chooglin'

I think you are stuffed, but I apply your logic when overtaking as well. If a car is doing <= 90kph (I know you said 95kph) - i will overtake it. I do this as quickly as possible to reduce the time in the oncoming lane. Sure - I could overtake at 99kph and sit in that lane for 5+ seconds - but is that any safer? The other option is just to chill and follow at 90kph.

either way - it seems unless you have hard facts to back up your side of the argument, you are on the back foot. No harm in writing in eh?

95 in a 100 zone slow? Better tell the authorities, there's money to be made ticketing slow drivers as well (5kph tolerance and all that
    ).
    Ciao Marco
