I was shunted forward by some chick on a cellphone while I was sitting stationary at a red light. I heard the tyres squealing, and didn't have the presence of mind (or the suppleness) to turn around and look or move out of the way.
The bike was shunted out from between my legs into the intersection, and I fell into the gap between bike and car bumper, the bumper then hammered my back (which went lame for a few weeks after) , pushing me into the intersection (thankfully not under the car).
The skid marks were 35 metres (yes 3-5) long - on a quite a steep uphill. The tarffic light had turned red, and had been red for a couple of second already. WTF was that bitch thinking? Maybe she just was not.
Moral of the story: Turn and look (if you can)!! I might have been able to jump/ride away if I had...
