Still actually a bit iffy if I am going at all. Possibly riding to fairlie on Friday and back on Monday, so more time at home etc.

Will know more tomorrow, mrs Woodman is getting the right royal runaround with this redundancy thing. They were supposed out find out Wednesday but are stringing everyone along.

I'll post on the Nelson thread,but go down Thursday thru Rainbow prob, stay with broinlaw (heaps of room if you needto stay) & ride widdacrew on Fri morn maybe.

The orari gorge ride is pretty good, I recommend it.

hi all i still have a spare bed at top ten for the friday night..

im also going to book the cabin for the sunday night after if any one looking to stay over..

Nup. Just loaded it. All sweet. Extended the route to take in Lawrence just so i don't miss the fuel there

Where do you mean - Omakau to Alex or Cromwell to Alex? Cromwell to Alex is via a couple of pretty cool tracks (Carricktown and Hawksburn). Some good views out over Clyde, Clyde Dam and Alex from the eastern end of the Hawksburn. Omakau to Cromwell is via a track called the Thompsons Gorge which is nice but has about 19 gates!

There is a note with point B39 and BX39 as a hint about this. Don't want to send people there unnecessarily.

Cause those with Zumo's and Nuvi's are having problems and some users are a bit baffled I'm going to make a 50 points per route file as well as per other years. This will not be as pretty as pervious years cause I'm just going to carve up the routes into 50 point lots i.e. you may have to change routes mid way through a track. You all still need to change to off road routing for this file to work correctly cause there ain't no roads where some of the tracks are!

50 points per route file up now - link on this page. All seems to be working OK but I'm sure somebody will let me know if not.

I read somewhere in zumo forums (or was it ADV Forum) that it would be wise to also turn off the 'off route recaculation' option which is found in the same menu area as on/off road routing.

Hi there, name's John and I met up with some of you last year in Alex and rode day-2 on my 955i Tiger (road tyres) and had a blast. So much so that I'm keen to ride the whole event this year, albeit on better tyres. I added myself to the 2-day list and will be with a non Kiwirider mate on a GS1100. We are riding from north of Auckland on Monday, Molesworth and Lees Valley. I heard that some may ride from CHCH on Friday through the gorge and wondered if we might join you for that (details ??). We'll probably tent at Fairlie and Alex for accom.

Done Molesworth several times but never Lees Valley. Any tips on Lees would be most welcome.

Is it too late to sign on for the BBQ on Friday at Fairlie? (x2).
