Lees valley is probably a good option for us on the monday as well.
We are heading down a bit earlier in the week to visit some friends in Oamaru possibly via Molesworth and will be sneaking into Fairly from the south this time via Hakataramea on friday.
Thats providing the AT clutch gods dont make me assemble the new clutch all wrong like last time
Any northerners hanging round for Clarence the following weekend ? (it is open 29-30th isnt it ?)

    Anyone else have any plans?

I was thinkin of heading down Thurs lunchtime via Rainbow - fkcu just had a fly in my mouth from my nice cuppa of Caro - It was just getting to the bottom of the cup too where it gets thicker & flavoursome

Anyway sorry back to the ride down. Via Rainbow to Hamner then CHCh to stay at broinlaws. Join in the ride via whatever gorge place & business as usual.

I'm taking a cabin with JMJ on Sunday nite at the top 10 then prob head back Monday possiby via Molesworth if I'm not too knackerered.

Nothings set in concrete yet - just floating ideas around at the mo.
    Hi Padmei
Yep - heading down on Thursday - would be good to leave about 10 so we don't have to rush - spoken to Woodman who needs some help to get his shit together - Rainbow all clear and like a motorway at the mo.
    Cheers

All looking pretty good so far fingers crossed. Was talking to jatz today and they plan on leaving Mot about 8, and we talked about maybe meeting at St Arnaud at 10for a coffee.
Joe you could meet us here in Richmond early if ya want. I could put the jug on even.

Padmei? how committed are you to leaving at lunch time? earlier is always better imho for contingency planning etc.

But like always I am easy.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

    Early is good.

To be honest I like to get the riding over & have a rest at the end of the day. I'm getting softer in my old age so long full days in the saddle leave me pretty rooted & as well as the enjoyment factor dropping, I start to lose concentration & do silly things.
I want to be doing this kinda stuff dor a few more years yet- hence looking at the option of cutting out a bit of the 1st day of the DB.

It'll be quite cool riding down with my brothers (been watching too much sons of anarchy sorry...)

Where are you guys staying ? In Chch? Woodman, JMJ & I are staying at broinlawsin Chch.

Yip... we're leaving Mot at 8:00 sharp.
Will be at Kohatu between 8:30 and 8:40
Will be at St Arnaud between 9:47 and 10:09

    Then heading through the Rainbow.....

Jeebus Padders, cutting out a bit of the D.B. route
Hope you've packed you knee blanket and slippers
