Yip.... it's damn nice bike to ride But when I rode it the suspension was a lot firmer, and I had no issues with the taller screen

Yeah, need to look at my cash flow for a while, plus the possible redundancy process I mentioned in another thread a few months ago is kicking in now so lots of talks going on.

Arrive at someones place.
Drain the tanks.
Put 2L in each.

Carry a 3-5L spare.

Head over the Maungatapu to Pelorus for coffee and jeering and back (80km).

Some will make Pelorus and part of the return journey on the 2L. Some will not.

Woodman can use as much petrol as he wants but only 2L of oil.

I'm just going to use it to power the instruments.

The issue with the drain & refill with 2 litres is that some bikes can't use all of the bottom of the tank.

The other more practical way is to fill them at the beginning of the ride, then again at the end. Needs to be marshalled though to make sure that the fills are all to the same level. And everyone does the same mileage (ie no short cuts)

We used to do this on an annual basis in the road club I was part of. More fun than it sounds. Creative use of drafting, engine off for downhills, etc. We also had a prize of the worst economy, which was also hotly contested.

Agree, 2 litres in my tank and it probarbly still won't go, thats why I suggested filling first like you say.
Of course this is a disadvantage to me with a big tank because of the extra fuel weight.

No possible shortcuts on this route.

Once you refill, you become backup crew/camera operators for the remaining contestants.

Why? Lower idle speed (ie, zero) gives more braking, not less.

It's the pucker factor that will be interesting, trading off momentum against hill climbing & cornering.

Which is the main idea; too many ppl set it up too stiff, me included when I first started fiddlin' wit suspension

Plus, wasn't it yours that was poked when you bought it? Jammed on the uber-stiff settings?
