The hard foam does compress after a while but I'm thinking that it's ready to wrap a layer of finishing foam around it and start looking for some blood red vinyl.
Nordie, I have a brand new Yamaha red vinyl seat cover if you want it mate....I got it for a XT600 that I nearly, oh so nearly bought...
It may not fit over your La z Boy chair though, but you are welcome to it....cheap!

I need a bit of vinyl about 80x70cm to fit the bugger

okay....This is just a regular seat cover with Yamaha on the sides...It will never fit if that is the amount you need.

Usually comp, especially if they are cartridge forks.

Dirt bikes often only have compression adjustment, roadies often only have rebound. Don't ask me why.
    Cheers,

    YES!

My DC-DC voltage doubler has arrived.

This'll let the speedo and gps do their thing with (almost)12v goodness.

From my limited experiance FI 990's are bloody terrible to ride in technical/slippery terrain. Just no feel to them. There are supposdily things you can do to them - but why not just get a 950? Appart from cost this was the most signficant reason I bought a 950. I know I'm trying to sell one so might seem a little bias but I firmly believe this.
i really really didn't like the 9x0 adventures till i rode Eddies. The power on his wasn't as awesome as I'd experienced on the SM but more usuable. The suspension tho - I'd never ridden with such nice suspension - I see what guys mean when they talk about magic carpet ride

Funny you should mention fuel economy because I have been thinking about it a bit lately.

How about trying a fuel economy run like those anaraks do in their cars. Yes I know they would save more fuel if they just stayed at home but that is not the point.

Maybe we could fill up, then tootle off somewhere, then refill and compare results for bragging rights . Just another dimension to add to the awsomeness of adv riding.
The boys did one on Topgear once and it really was quite interesting and very strategic.
    Your thoughts??
Sorry for off topic again Nordie.

Yip.... it's damn nice bike to ride But when I rode it the suspension was a lot firmer, and I had no issues with the taller screen
