You know I fell in love with this bike 4 years ago, and have been totally enamoured with Buell for I dont now how long. I never for a moment thought I would ever own one, let alone "the one".

Then they announced they were no longer making them and I knew it would never happen.

For everything to fall into place like this is so amazing! I can not wait!

I may have to investigate some hard luggage though - come in Ocean 1

The tank is transparent plastic, I dont want a tank bag to spoil the look or the finish. Ugly pack rack thingy...

Hope I didn't get your hopes up too much. I have a pair of std Buell hard panniers you can have for naught, but they've both got broken latches. Latches cost $80 each, and I think the new ones are a bit tougher.

You've still got to buy a Buell pannier rack for it, and that's likely to push the budget over that needed to buy a complete pack rack system from Mr Dold. If you want the panniers they're yours, someone may have the time and skill to rebuild the latches.

    Luck with the negotiations.

Edit: look at some hard Buell luggage before you decide, it makes for a seriously fat arsed Buell and one needs not to forget they're there when in town...

I would have thought that you'd already have access to the ultimate in Buell luggage accessories, the mighty CB1300!.

I had a similar experience of everything "falling together" for me and my current bike this time last year. It's awesome fun but watch out for the temptations for blingage and the subsequent evaporation of all monies

Is the rego on the Buell a personalised plate?. It doesn't seem to make sense to me if it is but mind you I don't speak "northern".
