Over the hump, riding a bike is like shagging, going down....

Far be it from me to read anything subliminal or Freudian in your posts, though I do have a dirty mind, but it definitely sounds like you need to ride a lot!

I have to wonder...why is it everytime a chick posts about riding, htese threads degenerate into a festival of sexual inuendo???

Not that I am complaining... just an observation :P
    Just ride.

You need to be "super vigilant and predicting the unpredictable" when you shag?
You must be a great shag!

    • should do the dishes
    • not 'feeling it' today
    • too nervous

I'm one of those people that normally gives up on things if I'm not instantly good at something, and with learning to ride, you can't really have that attitude. Funnily enough, now that I'm over my sulking at not being a natural pro, the more I learn the more I wanna keep at it and learn more.

    On a big high!!! YEEEEEE-HAAA!
I admit, I did the same sequence of excuses, and occassionally have the odd relapse...........but now it's like....I need coffee(sugar, bottle of fizz or something stronger) buggar will have to head into town...60km round trip on the bike....

Weather is no longer an issue, just returned from the March Hare yesterday, 286km round trip, experienced super strong winds, rain, and bloody cold conditions, but what a weekend. Suzy, my wee VL250 handled beautifully on the sweeping bends and reminded me why I love riding so much. Even got to ride in a group as various bikes tagged on along the way, I was riding solo but had a small gathering with me by the time I got there.

Try coming along to NASS for some free training, and a bit of socialising with other riders.
