No one said there is no crime in Japan. Fuck I've spent a few days living with an 'organised criminal' in Japan, put us up in the top floor of a very nice hotel, everything paid for, ate dinner with him and his right hand man as they conducted 'business' over the phone (my then wife was Japanese), spent hours in his bar drinking and eating. Was a great old time.

But looting takes a different mindset to organised crime.

And FWIW, I do actually agree there would be looters in Japan, and that we wouldn't hear much about it. But I'm confident that there would be more looting if the same event happened here.

I knew an old guy that was in the merchant navy following WWII. He told me about once when a lot of them got dropped off on some Indonesian island and given a 303 and a few clips of amo and being told to go shoot the natives, as some logging or mining company wanted the island.

Don't read about that one in our history books.
