Just before anyone gets too carried away... you'll read in my stuff that I think you should ALWAYS use the clutch for downshifts!!!

I even go to the extend of explaining why (so I'll save you my rant here).

Haven't read your stuff yet my friend but on a road bike on the road Agreed! as said here

If you didn't use the clutch downshifting on the road or track you'd end up with the arse end doing all sorts of wild and unpredictable stuff LOL!!!
I was mainly commenting on the fact that on MX engines it can be done and without any (or to many) consequences on the engine as Java was referencing his 125 smoker days. Was just an interesting point about Karts, clutches, MX engines and clutchless shifting really.

Anyway I'll have a read of some of your stuff seems interesting Cheers!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Decided to inspect the Track Surface and Gravel trap of T3 at Hampton Downs REALLY closely. Suffered a bit of red mist I think and overstepped my ability/technique. Had been trying to ride my wee 250 like the aprilia

Didn't really notice the back let go, sliding along with the bike getting away from me, realising I won't be saving this one hehe.

T3 cresting and depending on where you are on the track, slightly off camber... REally good place to loose the back!! I'm working on an article at the moment about the limits and what happens when you over step them

Hey I lost both front and rear at T5 not that long ago
