Waited till around 9H45 then did a loop Waitoki - Wanui - Makarau - Tapora - back to Helensville for lunch at Shelly Beach
The gravel roads were nice and firm - weather held up most of the way

Of course most of us were chasing the rain around Puke.
So far looking like a band of 6-8 for Good Friday, but you never know with these things... there are always a lot of lurkers hiding around the corner waiting to see what mood they and the weather are in

After leaving wife with three raucous kids for Sunday, she figures I owe her. So another all day ride so soon is not on for me for a while.
ART day was awesome - thanks Boris and Mandy for accompaniment on the ride home.

Was thinking about you guys circulating at speed while I tried to pry the oil filter off Scarlet - who ever did the service before me probably looked like a gorrilla and didn't know to put oil on the rubber seal. Had to resort to screwdrivers through the top, what a mess, but she's all good now.

I got stuck behind some slower traffic, and didn't want to speed to catch up (not wanting to attract cops by speeding with my other issues). I wasn't far behind - I had sight of you still by the time I turned off motorway.
