Anyhow, I don't have maps that go that far south, it's over the bombays isn't it?

Decision time for me after the weekend, sounds a good ride to do I just need to get ahead with some work first so I can have the friday (& weekend off), rough thoughts include Awakino, Whangamomona etc rather than river road but that's probably a bit weather dependant.

Colin how hard is the farm tracks.
Life shouldnt end at the grave well presented but rather, slide in sideways totally worn out yelling "shit that was a great ride!"

If it stays fine you could do the most of the ride on dual sports. The pic of my bike on its side was taken on a downhill on the Meremere track . It was effen greasy I wont kid ya. However look at the rear tyre and see if I helped my own cause
Phil and I are going to ride one track (maybe more ) Easter weekend as we have yet to do it in the direction we will be traveling (did you follow that bamboo logic?). We will make the call on that section on the day
The longest mud section is flat Its a clay surface road that follows a river valley.
If it absolutely pissists down with rain for a week prior to the ride we may look at plan B for certain stages. It wont be because of the mud though, it will be because of ............. ohhh nearly let out that secret
We want the ride to be challenging without being soul destroying
Come for a ride You know you want too

whish I could be there.....didn't quite fill my mud quota last weekend due to some clown covering the once boggy hole that was the Fishers Track with gravel. Anyway having surgery on leg Friday so will eagerly await LOTS of PHOTOS and VIDEOS upon your return. Long ride reports will also be well received
    ....wherezz that track go

Wow. 2 weeks to go. I'd better find some tyres. Doesn't seem to be much available. Might just have to run a roady thing and hope for the best.

I have got a slickie slick-out if you want it? But, then again I don't know if it has 2 days riding in it
