Gutted.
How the feck did you get a 202 in one? I almost looked at doing it, I had a red top 202/trimatic in the garage and looked at it, then looked at the Morrie....I told myself off Sidevalves are enough

Chop the grill out and put the radiator on a couple of bars welded to the chassis rails, bloody thing was awful to drive because it would wheel spin in all 3 gears.Never got of the farm really, apart from a couple of trips to the local beach.Really want to put a rover v8 in a van though.Saw one in taupo a few years ago and fell in love with it.

Rover in a van is my dream of what to do to a Morrie, or to a traveller, I think it would be the tits, I'd also love to run a shortened Jag rear in one

    I had a '62 Mistral kit car with hot 302 Ford V8 & 5-speed.

A go-kart on steroids it was.

Not quite as good as an Atom but a poor mans AC Cobra plus some.

The 2 door version was good for that, let the back seat down and stick you legs into the boot, travelled many a happy mile around the South Island with my GF some years ago.

Dragging this thread back to BritLeyMoCo - Put yer A series 1300 into the Morrie, but add a BMW K100 (bike) twincam head, or even a K1100 4 valve, should wake it up a bit.

Or, the formula a friend and I used to build a speedway mini engine - 1300 block and crank, crank offset ground to take 'S' rods, 1200 Datsun pistons, 649 cam, long intake manifold with 45DCOE, Dellorto floats (the Weber ones were brass) sealed bearings on the carb butterly spindle. IHI RHB6P11 turbo blow-thru, Triumph PI fuel pump with boost modulated regulator. @ 10 PSI boost, around 120 easy HP at the wheels and it was completely manageable, would have made a great road motor
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

I saw that advertised on a BMW site a while back, apparently there is at least one conversion that has been done in NZ
