    Thumbs up

A magical Winter's day and I remember why I bought my Katana. A little chilly so on with the thermals under the kevlar jeans. Sunglasses a must and warm gloves. The bike starts first time and fits like a glove. Purring along on its PR2 tyres it eats up the miles and bends in no time. A nice coffee and kiss for Bev then it's home again. No more cobwebs, adrenaline levels restored. Can't beat the bike

Just with so many things happening over the past few months I haven't been out riding much or caught up with anyone on any rides. Hope to catch up with a few sometime soon.

Sounds like a brilliant day Kiwikat!

Bits of Kawasaki littered my driveway today and got degreased and cleaned.

Rear suspension on the Kawasaki is all cleaned up and about to go back in now.
Regulator arrived today and so did the tasty new tank protector, which will go on the Kawasaki.
This weeks plan: Steal torque wrench an re-torque clutch springs, go to JayCar and get some clips to replace the melted ones for the reg/rec and hopefully get it in tune.

Looks like I'll be dropping the Honda off at the ferry on Saturday next week Will miss her, reliable beast. But I have fairings, great brakes and super bright headlight to look forward too (And the 600D motor is back on the list....)
    Should be a productive week!

nice! do the clutch springs need a torque wrench? I've never used one...

Probably not now that you mention it

Right, it's alive but a c**t to start. It won't pull petrol through, but, if I blow down the vent tube thingy-ma-bob it gurgles fuel and starts up...... So fuckin' confused....I think that must mean it's air locking somehow, not allowing the fuel to go through.
Anyone heard of this? I'll put up a new thread.

Regulator works a treat, but, for some reason it's blown another low beam bulb
    Got oil leaks
    No fuel lights

    But damn it looks good.

Shit the Honda suddenly looks great.....
That's the housing for number four idle mix screw, it departed the general area of the carbs somewhat gracefully today.

damn, that doesn't look very fixable, could try JBweld or similar... Does it look like it was already cracked and wrecking the mix? or is it a new/separate problem?

I think it's a new seperate problem, because the needle could be fully seated before. It doesn't look very promising, so I'll look for new carbs, but I'd rather just ditch the whole motor all together

sounds like the way to go, could disconnect that plug and just tune the other three for practice too!

Could be a laugh, I might still separate them anyway in case I find another set of carbs and have a perve at the chokes
