Vivas were ok once Holden got them, put six cylinder motors in and called them Toranaswoah there fella. Had a few vivas HA, HB, and HC.Best was a HC with a chevette motor and box in it,that only took a couple of days to convert. Had victors and ventura,s too.

The 3.3 engine was also a favourite about that time with the stock car drivers - no other powerplant could match it at the time and the sound of a wailing straight six sliding round the track was a symphony.

3.3 was ok, if a bit small (stock car engine size limit 3.960 litre) but real stockcars used either 3.8Jags (the driver with big wallets) or slant 6 225 Valiants. At least thats how it was at Te Marua.
But yeah, a six does sound good wound up tight
