I have just had it confirmed that my suspicions were incorrect and that rather than give out tickets, the police were escorting the dirt bike riders in groups to the site.

So in this case its to the Popo. This is what we like to see.
    Time to ride

As Jantar has stated ... He escorted KP an I to the Rally site. A warm day ... overcast but no wind ...

The band needed a new back up singer .... a few tried out for the job ...

It did get a bit damp early sunday morning ... but stopped raining at daybreak ...

Yep the bosses figured that idea was better than the dirt-bikes 'running the guantlet' to the site.

All the gear has been put beside the Road King, I will do a quick repack as the old bike could carry heaps and we are still going ice skating in Tekapo at lunch.
wondered why you weren't up at ya perch on sat.
So is it time to bore and slap some high compression pistons in and do some head work

Pulling carb out of dr tomorrow, something not 100% right inside, maybe a worn needle .

Not sure how those two statements are connected. A professionally run venue, huge fire, one of the best fireworks displays I've seen, great band...any helpful suggestions on how OMCC can "up their game" i would be interested to know. True that, unfortunately, "numbers were down" but, with it being an anniversary last time, increased fuel costs etc there would be many reasons people stayed away i would have thought.

He was refering to MY post regarding the statement I made re: the bands lead singer (I was joking) and the pic with one KB'rs mouth WIDE open ...

NO connection with th OMCC was made ... just YOUR inference of a spelling mistake HE made and his statement of numbers down (which they were) The OMC he referred to was the Onehunga millionaires club. (remember THEM ???)

It had been ignored to a certain extent in the past .... but numbers were climbing ... and damage on the trail was being reported ...

Actual numbers, and an eyeball of those appearing at the seal ... was desired ... "I heard" ...
