    Buying Suzuki spares

Been giving my RGV some love as of late, which has meant buying all sorts of odd OEM spares (things like rubbers, a new oil light switch, odd nuts n bolts etc).

Man are Suzuki (Avon City, specifically Grant Lilley) great to deal with. No chassis number? No problem sir, come look at this parts diagram to see if we can work out exactly what you want. That'll be (insert price close to buying overseas here), we'll have that tomorrow (Really? Tank rubbers in stock for a VJ22 RGV??? Really??!).

Some things have to come from Japan, but that's no trouble. Not only does it not take long (always supplied in less than a month, 2 weeks seemed typical), but when they arrive I get a text, or an email, or a call, to let me know. And they always let me know, and you know what, that counts.

So in conclusion, I have figured out this much:
    - Want service, ring Grant
    - Want to get raped, get something through Blue Wing Honda

I really feel sorry for the poor bastards at my Honda dealer (who are a bunch of Goods Cunts (tm) too). They simply couldn't tell me when my bits would get here; they were completely at the mercy of an organisation that lacks the systems to communicate effectively with their customers. A system that also has a middleman that charges like a wounded bull to add injury to insult).

TLDR? Suzuki are great for spares, even for non NZ models! Blue Wing Honda are still ensuring their dealer network can not provide service even coming close.

Good to hear they're looking after you, and yeah, SNZ have a great spares system in place.

Yes they are, although previous to them I found the parts guy at Sportszone just as good

Agreed. Mind you, absolutely no beef with the service from the local Honda dealer either (obviously not Casbolts, only wankers shop there), they're just grossly let down by their supplier Blue Wing who are basically just a tick on the arse of the NZ motorcycle industry.

Argh...their "fitments" section uses the same data as the cycletreads one.....

GS1000 search, button leads straight back to the full list of Suzukis /broken.
