Yup I ride a Blackbird and wifey rides a VFR VTec will dump both bikes before we come to NZ (winter salt ridden) and buy a pair of Street Triples.......

She's a good pillion too, unless she's bashing me round the helmet for doing something stupid

I still like riding by myself, or going for a ride with the other NADS, or having a hoon through the local forestry with the boy

Yep, of course. Both on the road and trackdays etc. As for part 2....weeeellll it can be a bit stressfull at times. But not as stressfull as going riding when she can't come

Mr Hellokitty and I ride together. When I wanted to learn, I bought him a bike so he could ride with me (he has ridden since he was 5), as he didn't have a road bike when we got married.
We don't ride together too often, as he has different ideas about rides. I like to be gone for hours, and in summer would ride all day on twisty roads, where he likes shorter rides and straighter roads.

Sometimes I feel guilty going off all day on the bike and leaving him at home with his kids... but then I get over it

I don't have kids so I don't need to be stuck at home all the time!

Me and my partner trail ride together, i ride 2 wheels, she rides a spots quad (altho there has been talk of getting her onto a cr125) its great to get out into the outdoors together, just at your own pace, if i want to hoon, i can, i just have to let her catch up every now and then, and trail riding with ya partner is different to being out with "the boys" no pressure to ride fast or keep up with the quickest, just enjoy the ride.
She also pillions with me on the CBR for our daily commute, and some rides just for fun. She doesnt have a bike licence, altho there has been talk about a licence for her and her own 250 road bike at some stage

I have just started dating again. I must be mad as it's a mix bag of people out there. But one thing I know for sure if that I would very much prefer it if someone I meet rides too. I have had many a friends tell me to meet men outside of motorbiking. But if I did so, then how would one ever understand when I want to bugga off for a day on my bike on my own. Or head off down country on a solo road trip as I so very much love doing? If I was lucky enough to meet a partner that also rides, I imagine hitting the roads together would be a lot of fun indeed. Trips away too. But I would always need to be able to ride alone too. Especially on those beautiful winters nights when you are sitting at home just longing to ride to a beautiful spot somewhere for some fresh air. I do think it would be great to be able to share ones biggest passion with their partner.

I think my expectations may be too high. What on earth have I got myself in for?

I have taken my girlfriend to the The Farm twice for her birthday & I must admit to getting enormous satisfaction & pleasure helping her to ride. I was a bit worried which way it would go, the potential for unfun was on my mind. A bit like being taught to drive by your dad if you know what I mean.
Both visits have been fantastic, I pootled along behind giving advice when asked & offering pointers as difficulties popped up. Last trip I was proud as punch to watch her naturally standing up to cross streams & mud holes etc, riding the bike really confidently & using the throttle to keep the bike up & steer when all her instincts told her to brake & bin.
I probably enjoyed riding with her more than I would have fanging off on my own. Awww, it's so nice to share.

My partner & I both rode when we meet so it was a given that we would ride together. We go away every year for trips and do many rallies etc together as well. Love the time that we get to spend together but also like having time riding alone, as does he. It's all about getting the balance right!

Yep, the lovely Mrs Headroom rides as well. We occasionally take both bikes if we're heading to a bike-friendly destination, sometimes do more structured group rides together, and often do independent rides.

I got my first bike after we'd been married for a few years, and initially she rode as a pillion. After about three years, she got the urge to get her own bike. She's been fully licenced now for more than twenty years, has had a variety of bikes including an RG400, and has been happily riding a Buell XB12S for the last five years.

Some time ago, I had no work on a friday, Anne was doing nothing as well.
It was a stunning day so I suggested we gear up and spend the day up north.
Coffee and cake at Ruawai, through the Waipua tree area, stopped at Omapere lookout, lunch at Opononi, across to Kaikohe and down twin bridges..an absolute brilliant day.
Just to able to do something spontaneous like that does wonders for your well being.
