    When I was 19 (back in '89) I bought a ratty 80K one for $500.

...Discovered it would be a 300/3 or even a 200/2 in the rain.

...Saw the muffler fly off it (in my rear vision mirrors) at 160km/h.....

...managed to the peace symbol in a burnout form at the Sign of the Kiwi...

...While doing said burnout, just at the end of it, the clutch toasted itself..

...also while doing said burnout was surprised that it could stay at 13,000rpm sort of happily despite redline being 10,000rpm.

...while heading home (coasting down back down the hill), even more amazed that once the clutch cooled, it worked again !!!!

These bikes are truly remarkable and I would buy another,...not to do that to one though !!

The market will dictate the price, someone might want it that badly to pay a silly ammount.

I've seen some cars and bikes for sale for months, going on years as they refuse to lower the price. Clearly they're in no rush lol

Are you saying it's not the correct blue, or that blue wasn't a factory colour? If it's the latter, it appears you're wrong - (the blue colour is Varnish Blue, red is Light Ruby Red for the early models) though I can't remember ever seeing blue ones for sale in NZ, all the blue ones I've ever seen were US models. The one on TM does look a bit dark in comparison to others I've seen.

There was also a darker red and a yellow colour offered on the very last ones.

Did they only bring the red ones into NZ? I can't remember ever seeing yellow CB400F's either?

He's talking about the CB550 linked a couple of posts above his one, not the CB400.

    Please try to keep up.

Ah, thanks JD....the problem with unquoted replies (especially when you've got a head cold!) lol
That makes more sense, I thought Paul in NZ was up to the play on model info

Still the 550 does look nice in black I must say.

    As you were....

Oops must not offend the Train-spotters among us eh CS ?
The only colours I've seen on a CB400f are blue & red in NZ, though there was a poster with Pele and a yellow model.
