But ranting on KB about a supposedly undeserved ticket is the thing to do, it makes everything alright.

    Apparently.

    • (a) must drive as far as practicable entirely within a lane except when complying with subclause 2.1(2) ...
2.1(2) If a driver's speed, when driving, is such as to impede the normal and reasonable flow of traffic, that driver must, as soon as is reasonably practicable, move the vehicle as far as practicable to the left side of the roadway when this is necessary to allow following traffic to pass.
Yeah that's right, stick to your lane, unless you are impeding other traffic than forget the lane markings and get as far left as you can. The shoulder is part of the roadway and you have to use it in these circumstances.

Well I have no idea if it actually works but I'm quite enjoying this "report a bad driver" system for now.
I'm pumping out the bad driver reports (cause fuck are there a LOT of cunts that don't know how to drive) in the hope they actually get a nice letter from the cop shop reminding them that drivings more than just pressing a pedal & turning a wheel. With any luck they'll learn from it too as I do prefer educating people 1st .

I will never pass a vehicle that's pulled on to the left shoulder but still moving unless I can clearly see the shoulder in front of them. More than once in the past I've done exactly that and had said vehicle swerve towards me when the shoulder vanished.

This is one of the reasons that accident levels drop when open-road speed limits are removed. Slower drivers are then acting perfectly within their rights and following vehicles don't have a legal peg on which to hang their frustration.

I believe that provocation can no longer be used as a defence.

You'll have to find another excuse to kill the cunts.

I know it's wrong. I used to pass like you and every other expert that isn't part of NZTA or the Police recommends. It is absolutely the safest way. But I got too many speeding tickets from arsehole revenue gatherers.

If you don't want to conform to society's gay rules then you have to let everyone else who wants to do it. move over if you don't want to do the speed limit. and if you want to go faster than everyone else, don't stop!!!

here's why so few people get tickets for going too slow.

I was going north in my neenar at about 4.30 today. Neenar? It's blue and yellow, with red/blue lights on the roof. Nuff said.

I radared a car travelling south on sh1 out of waikuku at 70 km/h. He was coming out of the waikuku 80 kmh area. Behind him were 11 vehicles, the drivers of 3 of them waved frantically for me to do something about the dude holding them all up.

I whipped around behind the last of the 11, then used the blues n twos to force each of the 11 aside while i went after the car still travelling at 70 kmh, now in a 100 zone.

After creating mayhem to get to him, he eventually stopped, and i got a big mouthful about how i had driven dangerously to catch and stop him, and that i should go catch some burglars or rapists. Yes, pretty much all the shite that i get most days.

After he drove off, $150 poorer, i pondered why i bother, given the criticism i get for doing it, added to the criticism i get for not doing it.

So, should we do it or not?

    Harumph.

yea your right, quit your job.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Exactly. It also helps the consolidated fund. I wonder if CSC card holders can get a WINZ grant to pay it?

Really good fun when it's a road train.......

Mr Ratus - you done the right thing!

Those cunts tend to be the types who, when there is a straight bit of road, go like the clappers...until it's single lane again....

Shit, I get paranoid if I'm holding up 3 or more vehicles, if, due to circumstances, I can't get along at good highway speeds and there's nowhere to pull over.....

Car or bike, the speed limit is the MAXIMUM speed allowed - if I don't want to travel at the MAXIMUM speed, I move over as far as I can (without going on to the shoulder) so that those who DO want to travel faster, can. In my experience, it's the second or third car in the line that is the problem, in this case, a 30km speed difference should be more than sufficient for a competent driver to make a safe overtake UNLESS the road/traffic conditions prevent.
Get off the fucken road! You are impeeding the flow of traffic and that is an offence. The fact that you enjoy it (being a wanker) should be a punishable offence.
