Was that the same HO that got smoked by a little 6 cylinder Torana in 1972?

Our work team spent most of the afternoon doing this - courtesy of Ideal Electrical in Dunedin:

Good fun - although I have to concede the young fellas wiped the floor with me.

My first lap - ahem... over 4 minutes. Best effort - 2.33. Some of the young guys were doing 2.10 to 2.15 - little bastards.

P.S. The first thing I did was point out the spelling error in the website promo on the sills - apparently it's been there for over a year and they haven't noticed...

"Bugger" he said. "No wonder we're not getting many hits..."

Which in turn got smoked by a Falcon a year later, actually from memory again a year after that. This could go on awhile but for no purpose really, a Ford fan i am no matter who won what whenever.Have to own up to owning a Holden once, was an ex forestry HQ Kingswood in putrid green, had an XYGS at the same time which was far to good for daily use hence the shitbox Holden as a hack.

They got lucky when the Holden Munters ran out of gas, still finished on the same lap though

Had to laugh today while listening to the rock. Guy rings up and presenter asks if he's doing anything for bathurst, he says something like "...ahhh yeh" kinda trys to make like he's into it. Then he asks "where is it, at hampton downs?".

Anyways was good for a chuckle, hope a kiwi wins it.
Not fussed on the car though, pots or kettles?
