Due to a major fuckup affecting me at present I have cancelled my registration for this event. Should things sort out in time I might turn up anyway but don't bother waiting if I'm not there.

    Have a nice ride everyone.

Went to a Hmcc meeting a few years ago. It all seemed to be about off road riding, MX, Trials etc. Do they have a strong road riding section?

Yep, real strong. Also monthly meetings are themed, ie last month was show casing Italian bikes including St4, St3, 620 Multstrada, M900, SS900 bevel, 1098, RSV4 fact, RSV mille, V11 Breva.

Last Thursday had an evening ride to Raggers with 20 odd bikes including Hondas new Crossrunner.

Worth checking out, first Thurs every month.

Tell me about it. Brooke and I decided to go to the city. Last minute change of clothing from jeans since it was drizzling but holy heck, on the way home it pissed down. Was a good ride to hamilton though.

Did I see you at the lights on your Triumph turning right into Avalon drive from Te Rapa by BK? (With a pillion)

I reckon !!! So much for the forecasted drizzles, it was fairly consistent from TK all the way home..... I had to light a fire once home to dry all my gear out followed by a nice hot shower & copious amounts of bourbon still a good ride apart from that !!
I Used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass

haha same here. Brooke made a joke of putting the fire on and I thought bugger it. The bourbon would have been nice but I polished that off on the last cold day.

Yup. That will be the one.

Man them Triumphs look tiny when you have rider and pillion on them. I was only thinking what mine would look like with me and wife on it. Thank god she is paper-weight

By the way what make is your aftermarket slipon?

If its the Honda's club ride tends to be a bit of a race and not sure whether Harleys allowed??

Yep agree with others super wet and super cold - glad to get back for a hot shower - all good practise at riding in the rain. Anyone know who the guy with the older GS1100? with brownish fairing was??? I thought he was with Ulysses but sort of thought about it later and maybe not?/ Good to ride with and follow, he kept a nice pace for our pootlers in the back. (Was it topher1150??)

    Thanks mate

Yeah they do look tiny with a couple of people. Parking them in front of Plastic Fantastic bikes like a Ninja or CBR shows how much narrower they are. Too much unnecessary plastic for me

The slipon is a Two Brothers Racing M5. Ended up getting it here in NZ for $500 before I even had the bike. Getting in from the US at the time would have been $550 so I was stoked. They're pretty bloody loud, and that's with the "silencer" in it although I do have another one to make it quieter (but that would just be silly). Without one is madness when it gets past 8,000 rpm!

I just ordered my TBR M5 in Carbon from the States. I am still deciding wheter to have DB killer or take it out. I also ordered K&N Hiflow air filter and once on, the bike is going in to the shop to get remaped. Is it very loud on the bike or more for people behind it? Like I said undecided about the dB killer at this stage.

I had a two bros on my SVS when I had it. I used the decibel killer at WOF time. Then eventually I left it in full time because I got sick of all that fucking noise behind me...

It did sound a helluva lot better though, even with the db killer in there.
