Speaking of earplugs, NZMikey had a 5 minute conversation with me at Kaukapakapa which I didn't catch a word of. (I thought he was talking to Gale_Wolf)

    Nice write up.

Yeah anything over 600cc was having trouble keeping up with the GSXR and the 3 little 250s trailing behind.

I dont think Mikey and Mr Hyobag realised the corner speeds they were doing, normally the swarm pace is a little more reliaxed than what I do on the weekend, not so much this time around.

I was not breaking any speed limits I was just making use of the GSXR's headlight

He's jealous of the mighty pace the 250s have, clearly.

In other news, What is cycletreads like for general servicing? Would be interested in getting them to do the work on my bike rather than Honda.

All I can say is that it seems this ride was one for the annals of a gremlinesque meltdown! Glad to hear everyone had fun, but no food until midnightish?

Interesting to hear all the different perspectives, once again, chaos reigns!

The Asian food place in Albany is "Bubble Tea Cafe" (according to my eftpos transaction)

btw, Mr Hyobag's name is Nick. For those who didn't know, that yellow hyo was Wanpo's old bike. Haven't seen it on a swarm ride in a very long time.

I like the shop to do every second service, and give it a good once over. Be keen to find a good local I can trust, Cyclespot isnt bad, but keen to see what cycletreads is like.

They're probably fine for a VTR250, but I wouldn't go there for my CBR1000 (Except maybe if I requested Bungy, as he used to have one). Another name to bear in mind is George (The Motorcycle Doctor) a lot of people swear by him and the convenience of him coming to you is great.

I go to Cyclespot, since Hondas is what they know, prices are fair and the people (downstairs) are trustworthy. If I was more out that way, I'd probably go to Botany Honda, as I've heard nothing but good about them.

+1. George has provided great service, very convenient, and good value. He's also got a page on FB where he announces special deals.
