I had a tiny fleeting thought "f.... not two homes " but this one was just a minor rumble in the scheme of things phew !!

I moved to Waikawa Bay,Picton a few months ago,my Christchurch house is severely damaged.

Very gentle shake here in Richmond.

Don't think the klr would have fallen over, but then it does that a lot anyway.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

    Jesus... what fuckin quake?
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Our house is about 80 metres away from Wallaceville Railway Station. the Wellington-Wairarapa trains and the freight trains go past multiple times daily and TBH we don't notice much quakes.

Apparently they had one in Wellington, maybe it's the same one you guys in the South felt

There have been numerous reports of minor damage, following a 5.7 magnitude earthquake which rattled Wellington last night.

It happened just before 7.20, and was centred 30 kilometres east of Picton.

GNS seismologist Dr Tony Hurst says the quake was 60 kilometres deep, and small aftershocks are possible.
"The central part of New Zealand is often having significantly large earthquakes, it's just perhaps that they've been quite for a little while," says Dr Hurst.
"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough power."
