Help needed in Ponsonby to move my damaged bike

HI everone

TO cut long story short brought this bike of trademe and live in plamerston North
I arranged to have the bike picked up from mianfreight yard truck arrived today and only paid this morning
so great start . owner emails me to say that truck drive told him that i have to hire hiab lifter like aghhhhh
it just case of getting the bike to the road has anyone got any suggestions by the sound things the bike got front wheel
locked as been bent sideways , or even can help me the owner as getting bit desprate here for solution
seems like my hands are tied , its 500lb bike , the former owner on here also he posted a story how the bike came to be damaged , am looking at all my hard

Any general freight company will have a truck with a tail lift.

have you tried biketranz they have moved a few bikes for me with that kind of damage and pretty sure they are working through christmas/new years.

i cant afford the kind of money i rung them b4
its more getting the bike onto the truck thats the problem apprently the drivway to narrow for them to get truck down there and the van they can but guess to akward to get it loaded though with the vt 250 the got it in a vam just that the wheel locked up as its bent into the bike

the former owner said it be after xmas know just need some ideas surley not that hard to move a bike like this
i know its not childs play but..
insurance companys must do it all the time my bike in chc got munted forks like this and chouldint sit on centre stand with out falling over
so got that moved to bike shop somehow

Or a more feasible idea: if getting it out of its location is the problem, ask them to take a set of piano wheels (i.e. what they move pianos on) or one of those furniture removal platforms, drop the front wheel onto that and push it out.

I'd be happy to provide some arms and legs but don't have any kit that would help myself, sorry.

If you have a creeper board, (for sliding in and out from under cars when workin on them) pick the front wheel up and it's problem solved.

yeah well its for the guy there auckland i cant say what gear he got i know he looking to do that weather his freinds have that gear or not and getting people to help. i must say id thought few people offer to help

so far nothing pretty slack really amount people i helped over the years dozens if not more.

who said was xmas bah humbug , be after xmas know but need help say from wedsday onwards and arrange my end
to ring manifieght here its not there fault i looked at google maps and its prick of driveway narrow with fence but only like
very short so take like 10 mins max , i chould do myself with like 2 people max but am not there

anyway u can help i give you the guys cell phone number am of to change ownership get it insurance for it

Do you think good idea to have battery disconected for saftey when on the truck i arange to have truck sent not a van they been great serive manifreight they sent a truck and a van , just guy up there not onto it enough

two reasonably fit males could move that bike and put it in the back of a van....

yes id thought so he said the driver said it take 4 , i dont know i wasint there , even with front wheel thats locked sidways ?

he did get from the road to his house though, yes id thought so in saying that i sold gs 450 well 2 of them and
and guy came arround , with trailer was in 60,s luckly younger guy that was there to pick up a computer i sold him
offered to help quite tricky lifting even a 400 pound bike front end engough to get it onto trailer then lift push the back end on i think from memory we managed it just me and one other , but diffrent when doing it as a job you dont want wreak your back if its not your bike and i whouldint ask anyone esle to take risks like that, am the owner so dont want guy brought from damaging himself or expecting what i can do..cause damm determinded dude i got those 2 suzukis
plus a xl100k2 in smallest garden shed u can buy, dam did some swearing that day oh ousbike ontop and part of xr 200

and we got 2 gs 450 twins on that trailer that day side by side and young felow even helped tie them down as wanted help the older couple out much possible

dude if i was there i have that damm vfr 750 in that van by myself get the front up and push the back by myself and have it here by know.

I'll be in the car heading back from BOP on Wednesday (back late lunchtime) and after that am around all week. Will just need a bit of notice to get myself over the bridge and possibly to negotiate with Mrs Chasio as we've got a few days without the kids at home (sweet!). Clonak's engine trolley sound good.

i'm back from wanganui tuesday arvo and can supply a bit of muscle and a creeper board if you want to co-ordinate when and where with other helpers and PM me when and where............
