Road toll is at 11 so far compared to 5 this time last Xmas break, so focusing on speed is really making a difference eh?

Yep, good thing they've ignored drink driving, overtaking on blind bends, crossing yellow lines while passing cars and other lesser driving offences to focus on speed - imagine how many more might have died if they hadn't done that!

Having said that, I managed to do about 1,000km cruising the east and central South Island over the last four days, never got a speeding ticket - what's with that??

    I did say 'cruisng'!

And it was in a hot-rod capable of well in excess of 230kph..

And there were times when we weren't cruising but elbow-bending etc instead, hence the low km/day ratio!

    So there

My mistake ... 1000 km's on a harley in four days is almost racing ...

It would all depend on the size of the paddock you were ploughing.

    13. Can't wait to see the spin Paula Rose and Gerry Brownlee (Minister of Transport) put on final holiday road toll.

About the only half-good thing about it is that so far it doesn't include (AFAIK) any bike riders
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
