I've come up with a solution.

I asked a question on the auction, and supplied a link to this thread for the vendor, and asking for a picture of the underside of the headstock.

Shall we wager, as to weather or not the picture will be posted? I've got a shiny dollar says it will.

That looks like a mate's old XLV750 albeit somewhat disguised. Just trying to remember if he did the pipes like that.

well i for one have actually purchased an insurance write off motorcycle, to have it re-reged was a bit of a mission but worth it IMO.

Had to have it chassis checked at F1 engineering for straightness, had to have it checked and signed off at a bike shop for brakes, had to have the whole thing then signed off by a certified crash repair panel beater that it was all sweet.

once all that was done then it was all able to be re-regd through VTNZ.

Bit of a cost involved but it proved that it was sweet as, i sold it, but i was straight up about what had been done and had the paper work to prove it.

If this dude has done the same and can prove it then i dont see a problem.

I see your question got removed, along with two others, and no photo...... Apologies from all doubters accepted in advance.

Maybe you were the party that fixed the said bike and now you questioning your mechanical skills?

You're not a messanger, your someone with a chip on their shoulder. No one will ever listen to you unless you can provide proof as to your claims, or the reason for your indignation.

How do you know the weld will let go? If it has the original rear shock the buyer will die from that long before the weld.
